This Website
This website was created in Hugo, a Go–based Static Site Generator (SSG), considered “the world’s fastest framework for building websites” — at least by its creators (but it really is pretty fast). Go is “an open–source programming language”, used by some of the largest dogs in the yard.
The theme (the graphical interface you are looking at) is my own creation. I used to employ a different theme by a very talented fellow in the U.S. (and I liked that one a lot), but after restructuring the entire website, I would have had to work it over thoroughly so that not much of it would have been left. Thus, I figured that rather than finding another theme and customise it to my needs, it would be less bothersome to simply write my own from scratch — and it actually was. So what we have here is basically a blend of several themes I had created for different projects in the past. Here’s hoping it works as intended and gives you the best user experience possible …

I used to be a web developer in Vienna, Austria. After nearly twenty years in that field, however, I felt that the internet had lost its momentum (or maybe I had just lost mine). There is so much more to discover and develop and I didn’t want to restrict myself to code and nothing but.
Today, I am exploring different avenues. Between projects I used to write a number of books. I might feel inclined to write yet another one or five. We’ll see …
